The Kingdom of Chaos: Accepting Fate (The Kingdom of Chaos, 2)

Rating: 4 Stars

"And now, I was someone's everything."

Thrust into a world of magic and danger, Evie and her friends are in a race against the clock to discover who she really is and where she truly belongs. When Evie is joined by a mysterious ally, she must learn whom she can trust. With assistance from mythical creatures, newly harnessed magic, and being trailed by assassins, the group sets off across the continent to find the answers to Evie's past and her future.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book so much so that I struggled to put it down. I forgot how much I loved Evie to be honest. She owns who she is and makes no apologies for who she is. The book answered a lot of questions that I had and also shed some light on things I suspected from the last book. I love the direction that Evie's story is taking and watching her come into her powers and discover what she is. I have to say that I didn't see that one coming at all. Also, all of Evie's reactions to these revelations left me laughing.

I really enjoyed the romance aspect of this book and loved that it was the primary focus of this book. I mean we still got plenty of story and plot, but the romance and developing the relationship between Evie and Jax is what is most important. And boy is it a relationship full of snappy banter, extreme sexual tension and some super steamy moments. I really loved that the book seemed to balance the perfect amount of spicy and story. I also enjoyed the dynamic between these two. I think it may be one of my new favorite book couples.

I swear I kept thinking I had figured out some important part of the story; only for some dramatic reveal to happen that wasn't what I expected, but so much better. This book was full of drama, humor, spice, surprise reveals and some reveals that made perfect sense. I was really on the edge of my seat, especially in the last few chapters, so why four stars you ask... FRICKING CLIFFHANGERS!!!! Seriously if you haven't checked out this series yet, you really need to.
